A Match Made In Stoner Heaven

Great food and great weed go together like…actually we can’t think of anything that actually goes together as well! Beyond the stereotypes of the “munchies” any cannabis connoisseur will tell you that pot enhances the taste and enjoyment of eating good food. However, just like we all have different tastes when it comes to the strains and weed products, we all have different taste buds too.

There’s Nothing Worse Than A Bad Dining Experience

When we’re hungry, high (or both) we can’t imagine anything worse than diner’s regret. The feeling of wishing you got something different or were somewhere else might be a first world problem but it still sucks right? The entire ritual of going to a restaurant, choosing a scrumptious looking meal then regretting it is, not to be too dramatic, a freaking tragedy. This problem is compounded when you’re in a new city and don’t know the best eats yet.

“Me and my friends went there on a Saturday. Our first time there, and we all agreed that it’s a great pizzeria. We’ve been to other pizza places at the falls, and well they usually fall short of great. We got the party size pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and hot peppers. It was delicious, everyone at the party was happy. My friend got the chicken caesar salad as well and he said that it was really good.”

Napoli Ristorante Pizzeria

Located right down the street from Stok’d Niagara you may find our staff or customers frequenting this hidden gem. Run by the Pingue Family since 1962, you’re getting one of the best Napoli style pizzas this side of the Atlantic.

Yelp Review:

“Great food and friendly service.  We almost missed this gem. We didn’t have reservations and they were turning people away, which I appreciated. They chose quality of service over seating more tables than they could handle. We had a sausage pizza, the pasta oglio and bolognese.  The meal started with warm focaccia, yum!  We also tried a local cab franc which was tasty. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. Make a reservation so you don’t miss this authentic Italian spot amidst the sea of chain restaurants.”

Location:

5485 Ferry St (corner of Stanley Ave), Niagara Falls, ON L2G 1S3

Hooligans Sports Bar

Our final hidden gem is a great place to give the chains and hooplah of downtown a miss. Also a staff favourite, it’s a well priced watering hole with great food and atmosphere: “The next time you want to catch the latest game with friends, head to the Hooligans Sports Bar. This trendy bar offers plenty of TV screens to watch the games. There is pool as well. The jukebox offers an entertaining background music. Guests can sample the chicken wings and other snacks served with beer and drinks. Karaoke is also organized here.”

Reviews:

“Love this place! Wings are perfect! Best wontons we have had.

Server Eric is cool as a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce. Was the only server when a large group walked in. He handled everything flawless and kept all the patrons happy. Such a great place to be!”
